The POE-SPLT Active splitters are unique Power over Ethernet adapters which converts a DC PoE input voltage to DC regulated output voltages. The output is provided on a standard 5.5mm/2.1mm barrel connector on a 14 inch cable or in the case of the 80W unit, on a wire terminal connector. Supports Ethernet speeds of 10/100/1000MB. Inputs and outputs are isolated. They have various protections for surge, short circuit, overload and over voltage.
This device can be used to convert a 12vDC powered router such as the
Pepwave MAX Transit Duo LTE Router
into a Power over Ethernet (PoE) powered device. This allows you to install the router in a remote location close to external antennas where 12VDC power is not available and run a single Ethernet cable to a power insertion point while also providing Ethernet network connectivity to a downstream device such as an access point or computer.
