Data Privacy

Our site uses state of the art security protections and we limit the use of personal data to only what is necessary to deliver our products and services to customers. If you have opted in, we also use your personal data to contact you with information on new products and services, special promotions and other relevant news. 

We do not sell or share your personal data with any other parties unless sharing it is required to perform a service in our relationship with you (such as charging a credit card or shipping an order to you via a third party vendor) or if required to do so by a legal order. 

If you wish to opt out of emails from us, please log into your account, click on “Update Address” and uncheck the box at the bottom of the page with the text “I would like to receive updates and promotions by email.” We may still contact you, if needed, to fulfill an order, send shipping information, to check to see if you received an order or to ensure you are happy with your purchase. You can also log into your account to view or update your personal information, view past orders and requests that we have processed for you. If you wish to delete your account, please click here to request account deletion and we will comply with your request.

European Customers

On May 25, 2018, the European Union began enforcement of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This new regulation is primarily designed to protect the privacy of people in Europe and ensure they have full control over their personal data as they use online services. The GDPR impacts people in the European Economic Area (EEA). The EEA comprises the EU Member States as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway.

Under the GDPR, we consider Onboard Wireless to be a data controller and the data processor is Shift4Shop, the company that hosts our e-commerce site. For information on Shift4Shops's compliance with the GDPR, please see their statement here. Your data is stored in the United States. Our company contact information can be found at the top of this page.

Our legal basis for the use of your data is to fulfill an order or service request that you have initiated with us, as covered under Article 13 of the GDPR. We therefore do not provide a separate consent agreement for users to execute when they establish a relationship with us. By using our site, you are agreeing to the use of your personal data for fulfilling an order for products or services, or responding to information requests. If you do not agree with this interpretation, then please do not supply any personal information if you visit our site.

All Orders

All orders are charged in US Dollars.

Most orders ship our from central US warehouse located in Ohio. In some cases, orders are drop-shipped from other warehouses operated by our suppliers.
We ship products primarily using FedEx and US Postal Service. Shipping charges include shipping insurance for non-US Postal Service shippings. Note that Onboard Wireless reserves the right to use a different shipping service than the one chosen if it provides the same level of service.

We keep a large inventory of all products and try to ship products within 24 hours of receipt of order. Orders placed online before 11AM Pacific time, Monday through Friday, typically ship the same day. Please be sure your shipping information is correct. Once your order is placed, it can't be changed or cancelled. You will receive an email confirmation at the end of the day of shipment from our warehouse with tracking information.

Sales Tax: Orders for delivery into Washington state are subject to state destination sales tax.

Returns: If you wish to return a product, please request an RMA before shipping anything to us. If the item is returned in its original packaging and has not been used, registered or activated, then a full refund will be provided. Otherwise, a 15% restocking fee will be applied to all other returns. Shipping charges are not included in refunds. Please return all cables, manuals, registration cards and packaging. All returned items must be in new condition. If your returned item does not have all components or any packaging or components are not in new condition, Onboard Wireless reserves the right to refuse the return or charge the component(s) replacement cost. We do not accept returns after 30 days from receipt of order by the customer.

International Orders

All international orders are shipped fully insured.

Preferred Shipping Vendor: FedEx is our preferred international shipping vendor. US Postal Service (USPS) shipments cannot be reliably tracked online and due to numerous issues with international orders using US Postal Service, we no longer ship international orders using any USPS shipping methods.

To check shipping cost for international orders: Enter the selected products into the shopping cart. Go to "Checkout", enter the ship-to address and then look at the "Shipping Options" (on the same page). This will allow you to review all available choices for shipping carriers, services and costs for your order without committing to the purchase.

Undeliverable or Refused: If an order is refused or returned to us due to inaccurate or incorrect address information or because it was declined or undeliverable, Onboard Wireless reserves the right to retain the original shipping/handling fee and to charge the payment method originally used for costs we incur related to the return of the undeliverable packages or merchandise to us.

Import Duties & Taxes: International orders are generally subject to local import duties and taxes (VAT) as well as brokerage fees. International shipment costs charged by Onboard Wireless do not include local import, handling or brokerage charges that may be assessed by the shipping carrier or by local authorities for import duties and taxes. The customer is responsible for any duties or customs fees.

Onboard Wireless is not responsible for, nor can we offer, any specific advice regarding any customs related fees that you may incur. For specific information, please consult with your local government import office.

Returns & Replacements: If you return a product to us, you will be the exporter from the destination country. Title and risk of loss transfer to us upon our receipt of the merchandise. FedEx or the courier used may be able to assist you in recovering your taxes and duties for a fee. Please contact the carrier directly to initiate this service.

We do not ship to all nations. This is because, in some cases, we cannot provide the levels of service, tracking and assurance of delivery that we feel each customer deserves.

If your nation is not listed in the Shipping Information "Country" drop-down selector during checkout, we do not ship there. We suggest that you do one of the following:
  1. Have the order shipped to a personal contact in the US that will then ship the order to the desired address.
  2. Establish an account with a mail forwarding company that will establish a US ship-to address for you and forward the shipment to your non-US address.
