Q:
Can you place a USB-C connector on the end with 4 free wires? I'd like to power the Max BR1 Pro 5G via a USB-C cable.
Asked by:
Howard Ganz
- 2/4/2023
A:
The BR1 Pro 5G can be powered by 10-30vDC. The ACW-634 cable has bare leads to enable connection directly to a DC power source with the red wire connected to DC positive and the black wire connected to ground.
It could potentially be used with a third party USB-C to 12vDC power convertor cable. Or it could be rigged up to a cigarette lighter plug to plug into a vehicle 12vDC outlet. Or it can be connected to a 12 or 24vDC power panel.

Q:
For the ACW-634 Power Cable, if I am not using the ignition sensing I ignor the orange and brown leads?

A:
The wiring diagram is on the product page downloads area for this product and can be accessed here: https://download.peplink.com/manual/peplink_transit_mini_wiring_guide.pdf
Normally you would use just two wires: red for 12vDC positive and black for ground.
